The Orient's I own have very tight and snug bezels. Makes them pass all the "great bezel action tests" for talking heads review purposes, but if actually used in the field, they can get gummed up rather easily.
If this doesn't work, I'd begin to suspect bezel click spring or bezel wire have gotten bent.
