Forbes Watch

Found this magazine at the airport lounge in Barcelona. This one is coming with me back home in my luggage.

The magazine is chock-full of the most crazy pieces from all the usual luxury manufacturers (for instance, the back cover has an ad for Richard Mille’s Ferrari ultra thin piece), but nevertheless, the cover shows a MoonSwatch. This is the craziness we watch aficionados live in right now.

If only they built the Moonswatch a bit better! I was wearing mine yesterday afternoon and was thinking, it really is a good looking watch (I don’t mind the velcro bracelet). And... then I noticed a couple of scuffs on the dome... which definitely came from its cardboard box, as I hardly ever wear it.

It was a brilliant marketing idea and generated so much excitement. I don't regret buying it, it does look great in its own way. But it is hard to escape Adrian Barker's judgement that for the price we have been sold a piece of "crap".

They only had to make it a little more robust and everyone would have been "over the moon" about it. 😠 What a shame...

That Velcro strap is a crime against horology. All MoonSwatches we see around here in WC are all worn in a replacement NATO or straps of this sort.
