Felipe is an autodidact watchmaker from Berlin. His watches are handmade using traditional techniques as much as possible. His first watch was sold for $900 He still has 30 to make at that price to fulfill his orders. He has a full order sheet for his second watch, which people happily put down the full amount ($9000) in order to guarantee an allocation. He still does not believe that he is talented enough to justify the price. Oh, and he is under 30.

I watched this on Andrew Morgan's Talking Hands today. Wonderful story
I have been paying attention to his work for a bit now, sadly, he is backlogged to get a watch and the secondary prices are out of control. Super cool story and I suspect the next bath will be significantly more to match the market.

I suspect that as he now has a business partner, he will be able to concentrate solely on his craft, and that backlog will soon disappear. It would not surprise me in the years to come if his watches start selling in the tens of thousands range at retail.

It would make sense.
