Armitron Ridgemont. Anadigi retro review

So I've never owned an Armitron before. Always skipped them. In this price range I always go Casio or sometimes Timex. This was marked down to 10.00 so I took a chance. Normally about 40.00 it looks like. First impressions. Surprisingly solid with stainless steel case and bracelet. Has some heft to it. Feels much more substantial on wrist than most 20-40 ish dollar Casios. Bracelet feels better quality than the Casio models as well. This one is anadigi with analog display at the top and digital readout on the bottom. Digital readout has stopwatch and alarm 12/24 HR, day and date. Also has a decent light on the digital window. Case is 11mm thick and is 32.5mm wide by 42mm long. Comfortable on wrist. Bracelet latch is copy of Casio, but like I mentioned earlier it's thicker, and more substantial. Doesn't feel like it's made from paperclips like the Casio models.50 meter WR so that's not bad. All in all this thing was quite surprising. If you like Casio I would definitely give one of these a try if you like the retro style.

Are the analog and digital functions linked?  Back as a teen, when I was still wearing battery-powered watches, I had an analog-digital watch where they were independent, and trying to keep them synched up drove me nuts.  I was later happier when I picked up a Citizen Eco-Drive that kept the analog and digital portions synched automatically.

No they are not linked up on this watch. You set each one separately. Yes I used to have a watch a long time ago that they were Linked up.
