Casio 388 rescue

I owned a watch with the 388 module new back in the early 90's and loved it. Over the last few years I found myself with a small collection. Most were non working and beat up, I repaired those and also replaced crystals where necessary. Just saved another that was cosmetically very good but with operating faults and very dirty. Anyone else with a weird obsession? My first post btw so hi there!

Very cool. I had a favorite piece when I was in High School in the 80s and I put that watch through hell, multiple batteries, and at least one bracelet replacement. It was offered for sale in catalogs for around $50 back then and featured multiple brand names on the dial, including Armitron, Waltham, Consort, Michele, and others. Other companies contracted them for promotional pieces, like the AeroShell models in the picture. I recently bought this lot of them on eBay.

The movements were Miyota 4800s, or variations of it. Mine was unbranded like the one at the far right. My next step is to transfer that unbranded movement to the nearly perfect case and bracelet Aeroshell example.

Have not seen those before, a reissue would be welcome!

Also collected these along the way, the black pvd is by far my favourite and in as new condition.
