What is your preferred AR coating location and why?

I'm curious as to others experiences with AR (anti-reflective) coating. Where do you prefer it to be applied to the crystal? I see quality brands applying it to varying degrees.

Good question, I’m also curious as to the pros and cons.

Inner crystal is still better. Although coating on both sides would be best, the outer coat is prone to scratching. Which could be annoying and hard to remove.

Exactly. Some watches I absolutely love, but am hesitant due to the AR placement. Like the Sinn U50 having both inner and outer AR. Why do that to a tool watch that is meant to be used?

Exactly! It a point of consideration for me as well when I’m buying. To add, I work in oil & gas and I wear my watches to site. It would be a bummer to get the top coat scratched which has happened in the past before. 🫠
