Bulgari Octo Roma

I got to try on the Octo Roma the other day. Been eyeing this one for a while. I much prefer it to the Octofinissimo style-wise. It has great features including 100meter water resistance, screw down crown and a quick strap exchange system that worked quite well. I often prefer straps, but the bracelet was very comfortable and quite stylish. The blue rubber strap seemed very high quality and was also comfortable, but it did not entirely match the blue dial. I think perhaps the white dial might look better with the various rubber strap colors. There is a see through case back with some sort of in-house movement that has a shorter power reserve than many of the newer movements coming out from Tudor/Kinessi, Val Fleurier, etc (I think it's 42 hours). The watch is quite thin, but I still prefer a closed back on sports watch. The dial has some texture to it, which I thought worked and much prefer to a sunray dial. The white date didn't bother me, but I have heard that some people don't like it. The watch retails for around $7,000.

Final verdict: I really liked this watch. It was comfortable on the wrist and more reasonably priced than some competitors (IWC Ingenieur and GP Laureato). I also liked the strap change system. With that being said, I didn't love it. I'd need to save up for a while for this one, but I just can't do that for a watch at this price point when I like it, but don't love it. Still, I think people who want an integrated bracelet watch should definitely check this one out. It may be the perfect watch for you.
