OK I won’t really defend this, other than it was my second watch, and I bought it to celebrate a new job. It also “matched” my wife’s MK watch she bought with her first ever paycheck.
To me, the story is as important, if not more important, than the watch itself. If it brings you joy or a happy memory, who cares if it’s a fashion watch.
