When I was about 8 years old my dad bought two Omega watches. He gave me this one and he kept the Constellation for himself. It was back in 1975. I think my watch is gold plated and in the intervening 49 years it has developed an attractive patina, where some of the gold has been rubbed off. I still think it’s a great watch, looking good on a new leather strap.
It’s hideous you should send it to me for… disposal. Yeah, disposal.
Perfect strap, too. Bravo. Family heirloom watches are fantastic. But this one is particularly so.
You have a Great Dad and Watch .
Do you know the reference? This lugs are too cool and a vintage Omega is a genuine goal of mine.

Sorry, I remember having the beautiful boxes (inner and outer) and the cards when dad gave it to me but that was 40-odd years ago and in the process of several moves around the country and to Australia and back in that time, all I have is the watch. So I don’t have any other info on the watch.
I love Omega watches but there is something special about the vintage ones. When my dad died he left his Constellation to my brother, it was a wonderful looking watch.
Hope you get your vintage Omega soon, I know you’ll love it!

I found a bunch of these in steel and in gold on eBay. I had been looking for a sixties silver crosshair dial Seamaster but now I’m pondering! Thanks for sharing and I respect the significance of this watch and appreciate you sharing both.
