Flying tourbillon in a forged carbon case

This brand is probably unknown to 99% of you, and BlackOut Concept, a Swiss brand created in 2007, was taken over only 2 years ago by two enthusiasts who wanted to create attractive pieces at affordable prices.

In short, this brand was also totally unknown to me until I discovered it 2 weeks ago via a few videos on Youtube. And what caught my eye was their new model, which may remind you of RM or certain Franck Muller models, yet has its own DNA.

It's a timepiece equipped with a skeletonized flying tourbillon integrated into a forged carbon case, the XP1.

The brand is totally transparent about the fact that the movement equipping this watch comes from Hong Kong, but each movement is controlled and adjusted by watchmakers in Switzerland.

This makes it possible to offer it at less than 3000€ with a 3-year warranty. I took advantage of a visit to Paris to drop by their boutique to get an idea of this XP1.

And ... I have to say that the photos I had seen didn't do it justice at all!!! This watch is crazy! Of course, I know that its very particular look doesn't appeal to everyone, but there's no denying that it offers an impressive level of quality for its price.

The materials used, the finish, the details - in short, the feel of this watch on your wrist is excellent.

And what can I say about the welcome! It's a micro-brand, so you meet the CEO directly in the store, which is quite strange. I was already excited after my first visit, but I still had some doubts.

I even posted a poll here, but even if the results should have let me leave it, I came back to the store the next day, had it once again on the wrist, I realized that I had to have it in my collection !
