Buying a watch just for nostalgia

With my recently developed watch interest I've been thinking about a watch I lost over twenty years ago when I was about 13. I couldn't exactly remember what it looked like but I remember it was a Wrangler brand and I received it as Christmas gift from my grandpa. On a whim I decided to see if there were any pre owned ones being sold, so I hit up Google with my best description of it: "Wrangler men's watch from mid 2000s". I recognized it as soon as I saw it! I couldn't even begin to guess if this is a quality watch 😂 but I was surprised to see more than a few previously owned ones are still selling in working condition. I'm thinking about buying one just to have it again. Anybody here done anything similar?

I keep going back and forth but I know I wouldn't wear it so I don't buy my old Seiko SNK803

But I think you should buy your wrangler. If it brings you joy, which it seems like it would

Full-on do it! It’s like finding an old recipe you loved in a long-lost index card box and making it again…savoring it as it rolls off your tongue in nostalgic delight.
