Baume&Mercier capeland

I am thinking of buying this watch. I like the style as well as the history of the brand.

Does anyone has any experience with this watch?

I would appreciate any kind of feedback thank you

I can't help from an experience perspective but can only agree that B&M offerings are excellent right now. I'm a big fan of the Riviera and the Clifton.

I'm happy to tell you I've had my Capeland for over 4 yrs, and I love it. It was my first grail watch, never thought I'd own one. Shortly after I bought it, I dropped it from about 6' onto a linoleum tile floor and a month later it stopped working. I sent it back the the dealer not knowing how much it would cost me to get it fixed, but they fixed in under their warranty, no charge. It's gorgeous piece. A number of influences that I respect have named B&M for making excellent watches for the money as long as you don't pay highly overpriced AD rates. Every once in a while I check the current prices and they've been going up for a while which also says something about the quality. If you buy, I doubt you'll regret it. It's a great watch.

It’s 42.5 mm. Also, over the time I’ve had it it’s running +7.2 sec/d (manually timed), pretty good for a movement designed in the 70s.

My grandfather has this exact piece. It’s a beautiful watch. Just don’t expect it to win any thinness awards, as it has a 7753 at its heart.
