My very first watch in my collection is a Fossil FS-3004, a quartz watch with a 36mm case size (38mm including the crown) with an approximate 7mm thickness. Its simplicity and the sunburst effect on the blue dial appeal to me.

This watch was a hand me down by my brother, likely acquired in the early 2000s after our arrival in the US in 1997. I recall wearing it for formal occasions during high school, even after the battery died lol… I didn't own another watch at the time and wasn't particularly interested in watch. Besides, telling time on it was somewhat difficult, so the dead battery didn't bother me much at the time.

After years of being stored away and recently have an interest in watch, I just replaced the battery myself and was pleased to find it still functioning. Adjusting the bracelet to fit my wrist, I find it comfortable to wear.

I think I've found my first beater watch to wearing around the house.
