Help needed
Hi all, I’m wanting, no I’m needing a Zi zuan 1963. Looking at the normal ports of call, eBay, Amazon and Ali Express. What sort of import duty and tax would I be paying and how is it taken.
Sorry if this is a basic question but watched lots of YouTube vids and no one really mentions it.

Always had a watch but lost touch of late and have just got back into them, I like old watches from late seventies and military stuff, oh and I love motorbikes 😁

Imports to UK are charged at 20% vat based on cost of watch plus cost of packaging. No extra 'duty' is charged. No lower value limit.
Sometimes the retailer charges this up front. When it isn't charged at time of purchase then it will be delivered and the courier will invoice you afterwards (could take a couple of weeks). They will add a small handling fee, I've never paid more than £15 for this. Sometimes you'll get lucky and the VAT is missed completely, but I think they've caught 80-90% of mine.
