I have a question for all of the experts

So the situation is that I'm going to be making my collection a little more coherent. When I first started buying watches I didn't know what I was doing and I bought three Tag Heuers in a row. I bought the Black Carrera Caliber 02, The Carrera Skeleton Batman edition and the Caliber 05 Aquaracer. I use the Black one as my all occasion watch and have others for other occasions but I'm planning on selling the Batman and Aquaracer to buy the New Omega Speedmaster White Dial. My question is should I sell the two Tags on my own or trade them in on one of the websites too help pay for the Omega? I have boxes and papers for all of them. Thanks!

Selling them yourself will net the most money, although it will probably take longer since I don't think any of these are hard to get hype watches. But since you want to use those funds to get a new hype watch that probably will be hard to get, I don't think the selling time of yours will be a problem.

I would say that you sell them yourself, publish it on various internet platforms to see which ones come out the fastest, in particular I would stick with the black dial Carrera

As others have said selling yourself will bet you more money. However there is hassle with doing that, and it may take time. But be prepared to take a hit on any off those THs. Generally 20-30% or more from RRP, potentially more. I took a 25%+ hit on the SMQ Monaco.

The white Speedy is currently freshly hot & in demand. Now the ease would be to find an AD who would take 2 or all of those watches against the Speedy but expect 40% hit from RRP and you’ll still have to pay some for the Speedy. However you’d walk in and potentially walk out (providing the trade in done prior).

Peronally I’d look to trade all 3. The 2 Carreras aren’t a match for the Speedy. The Aquracer does offer some versatility being a diver against the chronograph. But the black Carrera gives a good contrast with the Speedy.

Good luck with what ever you decide

Honestly from a person that has traded, bought, sold close to 100 watches. Depending on selling price and fees you will may be only make 100-250 more selling than trading. If you trade for an exact amount or more you will probably save more on sales tax trading then selling em.

Trading all 3 you will probably get 6k or a little less.

I think you're massively underestimating these.

I understand how you feel, check in on the trade Tag loses around 60% on the secondary market. I know this from experience

No. That's not true. I think you're confusing it with the black bezel.
