Oh boy, what happened to me I don't know but i've started to like the g-shock back again after 20 years! I'm so much into that burgundy all metal one novadays. Don't know should i buy it or just skip it.

Just my 2 cents but the finish, lightplay and wearability of the full steel square is simply awesome 🤩 🔥

You know you want to 😂

I'm so much between going for an expensive full steel square burgundy one (GMW-B5000RD-4) or one of these two awesome greens and mod them with a casiok mod kit (GM-S2100-3A or GM-2100B-3A). Any help would be appreciated :)

Okay here goes… I absolutely love the full steel square and Casioak. I also realise that many think them rather pricey; but again, quality and finishing imho worth it, as in I don’t regret those purchases in any way. However I’m not knocking the SKXMods kits as they are considered to be excellent; and of course you can get a modified Casioak for considerably less if you start perhaps with a resin model.  I see the appeal of modding the half-steel versions because of the excellent metallic finish on the dials, but it puts the cost up. I am unsure if SKXMods do kits for the smaller half-steel ‘oaks or just the standard size. Of course there are Ali Express alternatives but I know little about those and I’m sure they vary in price and quality. Someone else may know and chime in at this point? I do intend perhaps at some point to buy a kit to upgrade the Casio Royale to steel and sapphire etc. Good luck with it all!

Thanks a lot! I'm not sure about the SKXMods but at least as you said already on aliexpress there are some pretty fine ones for the smaller models too. And as you already got the point, the half steel ones have so much better dials then the all resin ones for me :) Only the functions like tough solar etc. makes me think about the all metal ones. Buy once and forget about it forever :) Look, quality, system etc. everything is all-in-one. Just don't like the bluetooth thing but it is also fine. However, I'm a little bit obsessive on green dials. And the all metal ones doesn't have a fancy green dial at all. But there are 2 half metal version with green dials and they both look stunning. Bigger one has a little more fancy dial to me but i'm also a little bit afraid of the size. I need to first go check some of them for size comparison first! Thanks a lot!

No problem! I’m a G-Shock obsessive so I love discussing ‘em 😉 You can get the solar and Bluetooth functionality with several of the most recent resin versions too e.g. GA-B2100C-9AER (and a positive display, which a lot of people like) or GA-B2100BNR-1AER. The Bluetooth is surprisingly useful but I just manually connect every now and again to adjust the time rather than leaving that stuff switched on. The green half steel is indeed lovely 👍
I have no issues with the size of the Casioak  on my approx 7.5 inch wrist just fyi.
Here’s some info about SKX Mods; I love watching this guy anyway…. Enjoy! 😊🍻
