Pepsi .....you got the right one, baby!

Hard for me to believe that I have been enjoying a #PepsiGMT ......

in the #flightdeck for over five years. I had wanted a #Pepsibezel #gmtwatch ever since I fell in love with flying and watches. I'm not sure which came first but the #Pepsi was always there. When I looked into actually getting the #GMT of my dreams, all I knew was the Rolex GMT-Master was THE Pepsi. It still is. I was rather forlorn because, while at the time, not only could I not afford it, but even if I could afford and find the one I wanted, I would never wear it because of its value. So I began the search for a fitting stand in. As with many of us, that search led to homages, which inevitably leads to @steinhart_watches_official . I got my #SteinhartGMTPepsi when I upgraded to Captain at my former airline. It flew with me on every flight until I came to my current airline and got my career goal gig. The #steinhartgmt is THE best bang for buck GMT watch you can get if you yearn for #magnumpivibes or if you are looking for a watch that will be as close as you can get to the actual aluminum bezel GMT Master of yesteryear. It is absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend it. The downside for me of the Steinhart is the quick set local hands. When I had the money to spend on a new GMT, this specification was at the top of my list. The #TudorPepsi was the ONLY watch other than the Rolex with this feature. I considered a modern GMT-Master2, but I'm not a huge fan of the way the blue and red meet on the bezel. It just doesn't feel the same to me. I also KNEW what my grail watch was (my Sky-Dweller) and didn't want overlap in my collection on top of the fact I couldn't wrap my head around spending so much on both. I subsequently looked deeper and deeper into @tudorwatch and loved everything I found. So much so that I now have a sub-collection of just Tudors, as I do of Steinharts. My #TudorGMTPepsi is now the watch that is on my wrist every single flight. I would feel like I skipped part of the checklist if it wasn't there. I rue the day I'll send it in for service and have to fly without it. But I already know what will take its place till I get it back. Can't go wrong with either. Be well!!

Same. Just ordered mine from the AD. The Forstner is a great stand in, but once I found out that the jubilee would fit .....no question

Awesome, hope you get the OG GMT Master! When I bought my 16710, I didn’t know any of the history and chose the black dial instead of the Pepsi or the Coke and they were available (2004). Heck the next year I could have gotten a SS Daytona for 7K but decided I didn’t want another chronograph. Fast forward to 2021, I still wanted a Pepsi but they were way out of my price range so I got the Tudor BB GMT. I bought it over the BB 58. Loved it then I watched the videos about the stuck date wheel and how people complained about how thick and heavy it was, 😢. My Carrera is thicker and heavier but I couldn’t get it out of my head. I also hate the faux rivets. Didn’t even notice them when I tried it on, just loved that it was a Pepsi. Anyway have had it on a strap for most of the 3 years. I didn’t have a problem with the date wheel but the movement completely crapped out on me at the one year mark. Just stopped working. Sent it back to Tudor, returned with a whole new movement. Anyway I was jaded for a bit and have had it packed in the box twice to sell. Didn’t end up selling and probably won’t. Still love this watch, have it on a sail cloth from Finstraps, second most worn in my collection. Oh it runs about +1s/ day.

I love my Tudor GMT, it came on the riveted oyster style bracelet. I managed to source an Uncle jubilee which is made specifically for the Tudor pepsi. In my opinion it gives it a dressed up look.
