Help ID’ing an old Longines Watch

Hey Everyone!

My father gave me this watch and I have been trying to find a replacement bracelet for it. As you can tell he wore it well before handing it down(as you can tell from the last photo). surprisongly that band is holding together well, but I want to rehab it.

When I contacted Longines, they requested that I send it out to them before they would answer my questions, which I am trying to avoid…but it’s looking like that may have to happen.

I’ve been able to find similar models popping up on eBay, but usually in gold plate.

Can anyone help me figure out the exact model so that I can start my band search?

Thanks!

Thank! That’s the closest reference I’ve been able to find, nothing in the specific material of my watch I’m afraid :(

From the wear i'd say painted brass by the color

That's the Longines Gold Medal model made for the 1984 Olympics. I believe your example is the titanium version. Good luck!

Our dad’s have similar tastes! Good luck in your quest for a bracelet. There’s not many of these old timers left.

If you have no luck and still want to keep your dad’s watch going, you could easily put your dad’s movement and dial in one of the gold cases. They are usually not too pricey. Just a thought.

Good luck !

Forgot to mention, if you haven’t tried it yet, you might get some different results if you search for “Longines qwr“ (No, it doesn’t stand for THAT). This watch is from the “Quartz Water Resistant“ line.

Thanow for the suggestion! @celinesimon  suggestion actually yielded quite a few results. Think I found a donor watch!
