New Komfit on my SM300

I don't change watch often as my Seamaster is my Grail, but I do often change the strap....

I posted a poll a couple of weeks ago as to whether I should get a Bonklip or Komfit bracelet, as I fancied something different and historical for my very retro timepiece.

Must admit, I was more drawn to the style of the Bonklip, but after putting it out there for the group wisdom to decide I went with your choice.

Buying process was easy, I went to Forstner UK , paid a reasonable £115 & it turned up a couple of days later. Its been on wrist (continuously- I sleep with a watch on, seems bizarre some folks don't) for 24 hours and it's very comfortable.

Shocked when I first took it out of the rather nice packaging at how light it is! I'm usually someone who values a bit of heft (hate Titanium watches) so was initially disappointed - it's pretty much the exact opposite of my Staib tapering Milanese mesh I often wear it on.

Putting it on the watch is very easy (sprung ends) but fastening it up on wrist is a right PITA... Once on its secure , infinitely adjustable for the perfect fit.

I like my watch fairly tight, I don't like it moving around & I've found no hotspots so far.

Looks smarter than the Staib, which although pricey & well made does look generic apart from the taper.

So my retro Omega Diver now proudly wears it's NASA used Komfit - but that's ok, I'm highly unlikely to go swimming in space but at least I'm covered just in case 😂😂

Forstner Komfit, wide fit (18mm) with horned ends.

Dude, that looks LEGIT! Love those horned lugs.

I would agree about the fiddly nature of putting it on, but once it's on, feels super secure and easily adjustable.

Yup, same here. Crazily enough, maybe not as EXTREMELY hardy as a single pass, I can see why NASA went with it.

Classy, "space-agey", elegant, very light, easy wearing, yet very tough, easily adjustable, and once fastened VERY secure.

Prolly gonna end up with at least one more.

Yeah, agree.

Think I'll try a Bonklip next, on one of my Willards.

Cheers mate 🍻

Thank you for telling me the correct spelling of Komfit, I'd have been looking forever for "Comfit" 😂😂

Thank you 👍
