I have a watch in this case. Well… not a Rolex, but a San Martin. I like it, but I think under that for these all-rounder watches are a my sweet spot. But i can see the appeal for people with larger wrists than mine. I should read about the differences between this one and the 124270 & 224270.

I got it before it got discontinued. Before all the hype surrounding the Explorer. With all the hype and attention on the Explorer recently, I kinda want to let it go... 😅

I’ve only been into this watch stuff since mid-2022, so I’m not familiar with the world before it. Admittedly, TGV over at The Urban Gentry got me into the Explorer and Rolex generally with his video comparing his 114270(?) and the 124270. Dunno if that counts as me falling for the hype 🤷. On top of looking great, the overall attention to detail in the evolution of making the modern Explorer a more and more robust wristwatch is what hooked me. I’ve found myself thinking “that’s totally something i would do if I had the reigns” when reading about the improvements made to the watch.

In short, i guess one could say that my love for the Explorer is basially my appreaciation for Rolex’s craft.

Well, before the release of the 124270, I would say the Explorer was an 'under the radar' sports watch from Rolex. No doubt that the Explorer is a great watch. I hope you get one in the near future! 🫡

Probably will be in the distant future for me, realistically. Would be cool tho
