Still über legible with all the flecto. My favourite daily on the OEM leather nato.

... there's always a possibility that I'm just financially irresponsible of course, but after years of focusing on more easily attainable watches I have really enjoyed knuckling down and saving for my watches.

I'm far from a wealthy guy - perhaps just at a stage where I can direct my finances selfishly.

Good luck with it Graham.

I can identify with that trend - once you’ve been around the block it’s easier to focus and save as you’re more certain about what you like.

I had one big purchase earlier this year and so will have to chill for a good while now.

That's certainly how it was for me.

I've bought one watch this year too and am in the process of choosing my next. I thought I'd decided but an interesting Fortis chronograph popped up that I'm thinking about. I don't really do impulse buys any more and generally take ~ 3 months to decide if I'll pull the trigger so I'm a little stuck. I think I'll just wait for the decision to come to me.

I need to sell a heap of watches too. I've been rotating out of the 'keepers' box for months now and it's time to move the rest on I think.

I’m in the same position on selling too. As with greater knowledge and experience I can thin things down now.

I suspect it’s a fairly typical cycle - buying a high volume of affordable watches and then zeroing in on a smaller volume with some well researched higher end keepers.

I certainly am enjoying the journey and have learned a lot along the way.

Selling watches is a bit of a wrench and you always get less for them than you would like but once they are gone they are gone. And you can remember what you learned from them and enjoy the memories (or just forget them) - just like ex wives and girlfriends? 😉

Jesus … I hope I don't get haunted by my watches like I have been by ex-GF's and (in particular) an ex-wife!, but yeah - selling watches is no fun, always more work and as you say, less rewarding than you'd hope.
