NWA: A Skin Diver through Kuckstarter
This is the first of three watches I bought over the 2nd half of 2023 on Kickstarter and which are coming in over the next 2 months or so.
The piece is 41mm in diameter, has a L2L of 48mm and is not very thick (could not find the exact data). It runs on a Miyota 9015 and has some other interesting features like a textured dial, sapphire crystal, 300m WR.
And in my opinion, it looks gorgeous!
My learnings from participating in the KS campaign and now, 4 months later, have the watch in my hands:
I am happy with the watch itself from the first sight in terms of looks and build quality. Probably a ‚hit or miss‘ with KS products.
It is a quite lengthy process between you buy and you have it. Means that if taste and/or circumstances change in the meanwhile, you have with it (or sell it which is not that easy with relatively unknown microbrands).
Communication is key during the waiting time. In this specific case, it was not that regular as I may have expected. However, I appreciate that Farquhar is a one-man show and there is probably a lot going on during the time prior to and during delivery.
So, let’s see how it wears and works over time but for now, it at least met expectations!

No, Kickstarter is with K. At least, this is how they name themselves (https://www.kickstarter.com/) and it makes sense when looking at the translation to German (Tretanlasser) on motorcycles.
