Not an RM

This is just a Megir - Few hundred dollars to scratch that RM design itch but frankly I have a question - I have worn RM too and every time I have seen or worn it, my inner voice says "who the hell would want to spend a qurter million dollar on this shit?" - Lol - I mean cmon, a plastic watch with rubber strap - no matter how someone tries to convince me otherwise - even if i had that kind of money to splurge I wouldnt do it on an RM l. For that Megir is good enough.

Thoughts?

Not my cup of tea but I do like the color, and frankly I can't tell it apart from a RM 😅. I say if it makes you happy spend the money, but if this gives you the same feelin, why spend a quarter mil 🤷🏽‍♂️

I tried on a $180,000 RM and laughed out loud. The strap was Velcro and the watch weighed nothing. I had the exact same thought as you!

RM nothing more than a status symbol, they feel like something out of a kinder egg

I funnily never got the RM itch. This one you have is much better still and fully are with you know this 💙

The whole idea of a "sports watch" that costs more than whatever a Casioak costs is bizarre to me, and I think that, say, a Morgan automobile is desirable and worth the money and hassle.

Surely the rubber is some magical concoction with overbuilt construction and not just some melted pellets injected into a mold by the dozens or hundreds? I mean you'd have to take their word on it for the first five years or so but still.

So the difference is that a real RM has a fancy proprietary movement that will cost more to service?
