Helped getting my father-in-law’s watch running :)

No tales of me using small screw drivers here but still heartwarming. My father-in-law’s older brother passed away a few months ago and he got two watches passed on to him. One was an Omega that I haven’t seen yet cause it’s at the shop but the other was this old seiko from the 80’s that wasn’t running. He was told by the guy servicing the Omega that it wasn’t worth replacing the battery but we went out here in Elmhurst, IL and found some hole in the wall jeweler that found that the battery connections in the watch needed a little cleaning, popped in a battery and voila! It’s running! Really great little watch full of character and memories of his brother.

Great watch! I’ve got my grandfather’s in my collection. My dad’s friend worked for AMTRAK and gave it to my grandfather. He loved it.
