Changing out my dial for a more subtle look.

Been a little absent from WC lately because I felt like taking a break but now I feel like being back in it.

I put this robins egg blue dial and matching handset on my explorer homage a while back just because I wanted a pop of vibrancy and I liked the color, but haven’t been wearing it very much lately. I felt the itch to put the original dial and hands that I got with this case back on it because it goes with just about anything and looks great imho. I didn’t used to like feuxtina but it’s kinda grown on me.

Just thought I’d share some photos. This gave me an excuse to break out the tools and do some very light watchmaking. Of course the seconds hand is the tricky one and I showed a magnified shot of the post that you have to have centered under the seconds hand “cup” when applying pressure. Steady surgeon hands recommended.

Anyway I hope y’all are having a good day.

Well done my friend. Well done! ✅

That bottomed hour hand might be a pain to remove without scratching the dial. 😭

Nah. I always use dial protection when removing.

And I think isn’t a dead on view, the dial is tilted up slightly making it look like the hour hand is further down the post

Nice work!
