WWII Bulova US Army Ordnance watch. 31.6mm diameter. Chrome over brass (to save steel during the war effort). Bulova 10AK movement. I had this watch cleaned, oiled and adjusted shortly after I moved to Switzerland from NYC only to get a little surprise. I knew that Bulova, like Gruen, tended to use Swiss movements, but THOUGHT this caliber, along with their 10BPAC 23-jewel auto, were in-house. NOPE. My Swiss watchmaker insisted the movement was A. Schild. And he seems to be right - it's apparently an AS1237, made under license. Neat watch, on a period correct strap, with a little radium burn at 8 to give it some character :)
