Vostok Komandirskie 650856 Russian Military Watch Automatic Green Dial 20 ATM

So Happy it’s Thursday…You do the acronym! Just joined the crew here and have been introduced to many new brands. I admired a Vostok another Cruncher posted. Knew nothing about them. Did some research and found this which I think is great looking and dirt cheap. Anybody out there have experience with Vostok and should I just be prepared to call it throw away money if it loses 3 minutes a day in real life? Thanks in advance for thoughts.

I wondered what happened to Liberace's collection. 😁

Never seen one before.

I've got more of them than I wish to confess to! All work well for me including some vintage one's. I guess if you can live with the wobbly crown, bi-directional bezel, low quality bracelets and quirky date setting procedure they are great value. Actually amazing value.

They are a doddle to regulate and I think their domed acrylic crystals (which are easy to get scratches out of) are lovely.

I'd be surprised if you are disappointed.

Good luck (you shouldn't need it) with any further purchases.

Never seen one before.

It was a limited edition run hard to say how many pieces from each variant but they had 4 different version, two colours schemes for the one I have and then two colour schemes for a different version. Rumours say the watch factory made some in precious metals for Putin himself but that rumour is hard to prove since there is almost no information on English speaking websites about this version. It's called kremlovskie

Surprisingly Vostoks are really easy to adjust. You just have to take into consideration that the beat error lever to adjust is inverted and is placed above the seconds adjustment lever (both in top of the balance wheel). Once you accomplish to set it right (with a time Timegrapher), they are super accurate.
