I think it's mostly agreed upon that quartz watches are more resilient when it comes to impacts and vibrations, but I'm curious if any of you guys have ever managed to smash up a quartz watch enough to stop it. How hard is it to actually break them?
Pretty sure me wearing my Invicta Chrono while riding a bicyle, using a sledgehammer and other similar activities contributed to its demise after 8 years.
Yes, got a mate a Khaki King quartz and he wore it continuously for around 18 months before he killed it. I got him a Laural Alpinist as a replacement and it's still going strong after a couple of years..
Spent years and years wearing watches without really getting into them. Fell into the deep end looking for a new watch a couple years ago, and there's no going back now. Mostly into utilitarian design...
