Hamilton Traffic Special

Any pocket watch fans on here?

My Hamilton Traffic Special was passed down from my great grandfather and is one of my most prized possessions. The movement is stamped with 669 and from what I can find was made sometime in the 1950’s.

Here’s a ‘51 American Railroad 950B. We purchased it (2020) as a retirement gift for my father-in-law. It's not just a birth-year watch but location, too. Both from Lancaster, PA - ‘51. I thought that would make it extra special to him. He loves it and carries it everywhere. When we got it, the movement, case and dial were graded at 95% mint condition. It’s a beaut.

"Swiss"? I thought Hamilton were all-American before they moved to Switzerland in 1960's. 🤔 When did they start using Swiss movements?

I’m not sure when they started using Swiss movements. Time for some more research 🧐
