Longines Spirit vs Conquest (40mm & 41mm)
shopping for a new GADA watch right now and have it narrowed down two these two, definitely leaning towards the conquest because of the price but wondering if people think its worth it, definitely like the micro adjustments and crown of the spirit a little bit more, but probably not ~$1000

Its a stellar brand where there is no bad choice. Buy the one you can't put down and walk away from.
I really liked the blue dial conquest in 39mm but couldn't find it an AD were I could get a good discount. I also looked at the Hydroconquest. However, I bought the 40mm blue dial Spirit recently and felt the finishing was a lot better that the Hydroconquest and a recent black dial Conquest 41mm I had tried on a few months before. It was worth paying the extra for me as I can't see myself paying that much for a watch again and I managed to get it with an AD discount too, so it was way less than $1,000 in the difference. The 40mm Spirit comes with a butterfly clasp so not the easiest to size. I may well have got the 39mm Conquest if I found it with a decent discount and picked up a Seiko (Laurel re-issue) Alpinist along with it.
