I appreciate Seiko divers are the gateway into mechanical watches for many people, but I never really warmed to any of their designs. Only the angular chunkiness of the Samurai appeals to me.
Personally I prefer the Alpinist range of watches; and Seiko does some of the best budget dress watches in the game.
The chronographs, whilst not my favourite style of watch, at least normally elicit a “Hmmmm” of appreciation when I see them.

Divers, more robust and better suited to everyday life.
Plus I find chronograph's way less legible for my aging eyes.
Tho ironically I'm wearing my Lunar Pilot today 😂
