I really liked the idea of having a Hamilton. They have plenty of horological history and I love at least some of their designs. I held off for a while as I was pretty sure I wanted a Khaki mechanical, but the lume isn’t great on them. I finally got over that and snagged one and I absolutely love it. The smaller size with the domed sapphire and the (blasted?) finish are wonderful. And there’s a certain charm to a hand wind-only watch. Getting to interact with the watch through that well-sized crown is a pleasure. I’d say it’s a strap monster, too. Great field watch!
