Nodus or Astor+Banks

I have been looking for a light blue dail for a while now. I got down to the Nodus SECTOR SPORT - GLACIAL and the Astor+Banks Fortitude Lite Powder Blue.

Which one would you get and why?

Any other similar watches at this price point?

I am a huge fan of the Fortitude Lite. Andrew is also a good friend, and he's got some of the best design chops in the industry, in my humble opinion.

Astor+Banks if to choose from these two. The look is a bit more calm but somehow complete and I think therefore the better option long term. My option to consider: Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 IceBlue. In fact, it's a bit AP-ish but still very good value for the money..

Nodus gets the vote from me. I have two of their watches and the customer service is great. I seriously looked at Astor and Banks before, but after looking awhile the dials were a bit bland compared to the variety Nodus has. I also reached out to Astor and Banks a few times in the past to ask questions with no response.

Thanks! I haven’t considered the PRX. I guess I will add both the quartz and automatic to the list.

Agreed. I think the Nodus is “blingy” which is what am going for. My other watches have black/white dials and I felt I needed some color in my collection. I like the dimensions and case design and of the Astor. But prefer the dial of the Nodus…

I am in the same boat. I like both watches and I am not sure which to buy. I will be watching this thread closely to see what the community thinks.

Right now the nodus is out of stock… I will wait till its back in stock before pulling the trigger.

We're working on a restock for June. Sorry about the wait!

I really like my Sector Glacial, really really like it . . . .

But . . . . . have a close look at the bracelet. . . . . In many ways its great; on the fly adjustment, nice H link design, nicely finished.

But . . . . . theres an, I cant avoid saying it, ugly, step off from the end link to the first link in the bracelet. Effectively the limited articulation mean the the end link is male. With an unappealling step off to the next link. I just find it very unattractive. So I've have been playing with other straps ever since i purchased it.

otherwise its bloody gorgeous and just a little blingy😊

How do you feel about the girthy-knurling screwdown crown?

I like it a lot. possibly I'd like it more if it was a 40mm case. But really, with my big fingers its a winner

Like it. I have big hands and small crowns are just too fiddly. No problems here at all. However I agree it does appear largish on a 38mm watch . . .
