Spitballing; Sinn 103 Diapal

Good evening.

I have been eyeing a few watches as of late, including several Sinn models. The value proposition here seems solid, you can get a German made titanium or stainless chronograph with a second time zone and a timing bezel, for a small to mid four figure sum. I’m also of the opinion it looks quite attractive, at least in pictures.

does anyone here have one of these watches. If so, I’d love to here more. Especially on how the watch wears in terms of size.

Cheers.

I don't have a Sinn 103, but at 17mm thickness, I'd be concerned it was too thick. I have an Omega Speedmaster 57 which is just slightly over 16mm thick, and I find even that thickness to be a bit too much. I'd certainly suggest trying one on before buying.

Funnily enough, I happened to be at a dealer today. They had a 103 in stock, albeit not the diapal (15mm, vs 17mm). It wears great, but I’m not sure I’d want it to be any thicker than that. I’m sort of on the fence about that.

On the other hand, I don’t want to be like everyone else at the moment and buy a BB58.

I have a Sinn 144, which is about 14.5 mm thick - I think it wears great (and it's one of my favorite watches).  It's a much different style than the 103, but I personally prefer it over the 103 (although I really like the new 103 Classic 12). The big issue with the 144 is the lug-to-lug length.

The 144 has also been very high up the list. Haven’t been able to try one on, but as I understand it the wearing dynamics differ quite a bit? The cool thing about the Diapal version is that it is a few millimetres thinner than the comparable 103.

Solid piece, btw.
