The Road Trip Watch Roll

The watch roll, from left to right: Citizen Eco-Drive field watch,

Bulova Accutron II Snorkel, &

Steeldive 1970 in blue.

I overthink everything, so here is my reasoning: I wore the Bulova Lunar Pilot as my everyday piece and enjoyed it for the drive from Salt Lake to Austin. It is very easy to read at a glance and the chronograph comes in handy on the road.

Accutron II: Although the Accutron II Snorkel is technically a dive watch w/internal bezel, it is classy enough IMO to serve as a dress watch. The main reason we came to Austin was to attend a baptism. I won't be wearing a suit but I will be in semi business attire. I thought this watch would do.

Citizen Field Watch: While we are in Texas, we plan on heading to the Gulf coast area to search for the gravesites of my wife's ancestors in a few neglected turn of the century (19/20) cemeteries. We know which cemeteries and we have old maps of the plot layouts. I don't get out in the "field" as much as a used to. I thought I would take the opportunity to let the Citizen stretch it's legs..

Steeldive 1970: Finally, we will be enjoying a couple of afternoon barbecues while we're here, the Steeldive is a fun and comfortable watch in the sun. The blue practically sparkles.

There it is, my first chance to use the watch roll on a road trip. I would be happy to know what you think about my choices.
