For Argos’ latest design, the team embarked on a journey to encapsulate the spirit of adventure while fostering a deep connection between the wearer and the natural beauty of the Philippines.
The Sierra Madre mountain range was the perfect design inspiration for this pursuit. As one of the most biodiverse locations in the country, Sierra Madre is a sanctuary for flora and fauna. It is often referred to as the backbone of the northern island of Luzon, the longest mountain range in the country, and a stalwart protector against the typhoons that frequently pass the island.
The dial of ASTERI evokes the spectrum and textures of the Sierra Madre, coming in two (2) faces: Forest Green and Midnight Blue.
The Forest Green dial reflects the lush and vibrant greens of the Sierra Madre mountain range during the day. This verdant hue encapsulates the landscape's natural beauty, evoking a sense of vitality and freshness.
The Midnight Blue dial has the feel of deep blues that envelop the mountain range during the tranquil night. This shade conveys a sense of serenity and mystery, capturing the atmospheric beauty of the Sierra Madre after sundown.
Named after the Greek word for 'star,' ASTERI embodies the Argos' commitment to advancing the Philippine watchmaking industry. It also serves as a reminder that, like mountains, one can find inspiration to reach new heights.
