New Squale Green Vintage GMT
Urgent question......
I've just got this beautiful GMT.
I have currently 2 Squales and sold a 3rd, I know the brand well enough.....
The backplay on this is quite bad...... I have a non-gmt 30 atmos which is tight. My 50 atmos is also tight.....
Can anybody who has a GMT tell me if this is normal to have a lot of back play on the bezel?

Update...
I'm sending it back to take a look at.....
It's not right...... it has not only back play but when you wiggle the bezel up and down, it moves........
Very, very "unsquale" like..... as I say, I own 2 and owned a 3rd.
Non have this issue..... its definitely a QC error... its such a lovely piece.
I'll have this fixed or get a replacement.

It's a lovely piece.... they'll likely just replace it....it is a Squale AD..... its just hassle

Indeed I have a 1521 and a 30 atmos.
Neither have back play.......
But neither are bidirectional GMTs.....
I Do have a Steinhart GMT. It does not have back play....but it not bidirectional
I spoke to somebody on the Urban Gentry and they suggested that backplay might just a "bidirectional" thing......
I've settled and and am loving the Squale..
That is a handsome looking watch.
Did you ever get any updates on this? I had a Squale Sub39 GMT Black dial and it also had pretty dramatic back play. I was told the GMT Bezel will have some play as compared to the dive bezels which have little to none but that wasnt directly from Squale themselves.
No, I let it go but if what you was told is correct, it's more of a design feature.
I've had 3 Squales (2 I still have) all had unidirectional bezels. All were and are pretty solid.
I'm reconciled now.
It is a lovely piece.
I have these 2 Squale watches and have no problems with them. I really enjoy wearing them as well as just starring at them. 💥
Yeah, no question non GMT Squales rock... the question is, is the looseness of the Vintage GMT bezel and design consequence or QA issue..
