There's always a first time

Background: I've warn this G-Shock with its resin strap/body twice before this casioak mod came in the mail. This was "many moons ago"

Today: Walking towards the office "resto" I see someone kinda looking but also trying not to be too obvious about it - not the first time I see the same guy looking - so I approach him and lift my wrist. "Oh, so it is that mod! I was thinking it, but thought it weird to say anything..."

Genuinely surprised that I came over since where I work people have this tendency to "steer clear" of random interactions (not the best place, I know). Although watch "collecting" is a personal thing, it's such an obvious avenue for positive interactions, it made me think I should have done this a lot sooner.

Conclusion: It might be a small thing, but if one genuinely complements people, it's never a bad thing. Kinda made my day...

I have a colleague who I've known for almost twenty years, but only found out he was as interested in watches as me when I spotted a Seiko Willard reissue on his wrist. 😂

And now, because of your comment I learned that the Willard (og) is NOT considered a Turtle, with the turtle making a first appearance in '76... Thanks!

Wait. Did you mod it yourself? Like you opened a resin casiooak and popped it into a metal AP homage case and bracelet? Or did it come that way and someone sold it to you complete?

Popped it out and installed it in a "kit" one. It's MUCH simpler and easier than you'd think!
