Best Watch Marketplaces

Where do you sell the watches with which you’ve fallen out of love? What platforms have worked for you? I may have one or twenty too many watches in my collection and would love to purge while offering fellow watch enthusiasts a great deal on a great watch.

I've sold my lower prices Seiko's on eBay. Always at a loss. eBay is more familiar to me since I've bought and sold other items in the past 10+ years.

Chrono24 is another platform that many of watch enthusiasts use to buy and sell. They have their owns rules. There are many videos on YouTube about both platforms, so you can understand what to do.

Often eBay for selling, tho the vast majority of mine are sold or swapped on Farcebook forums. Takes more trust than eBay but works for me.

Main one I use is "UK watch gang"

I have sold on EBay, Chrono24 and Offer up. I have had the best luck selling on EBay. But EBay also has the highest fees at 15% on the first $1,000 then it changes after that. For example I had two watches in Chrono 24 for the last month and didn’t even get an offer. I but them EBay on Sunday night and they were sold that night. For some reason eBay works for me.

If you're selling to fellow enthusiasts and don't want to pay the ridiculous fees, r/watchexchange and the WatchUSeek forums are best. Or you can throw up a thread here and wait to be contacted privately...
