Citizen JDM Is Not Quite So JDM

I went to the new Citizen flagship on 5th Avenue today. They have a nice selection of heretofore JDM models, Chronomasters, ahem, The Citizens, Citizen Ones, and the new Series8 models. That black dial Chronomaster, ahem, The Citizen, with flex of gold makes my teeth itch, as does a silver washi paper dial one I didn't get a picture of. I hope this means they're starting to make their JDM watches more available in US.

I wish I knew about that store when I used to visit there many times every year when my kids lived there

This just opened this year. They used to have a boutique in Times Square, but it only had a tiny handful of their high end models. This is much more of a showcase of all the Citizen brands.

Thanks for the photos @wilfried: The titanium-bracelet Chronomasters look very good.

I just saw the Series8 890 on Citizen's website this week (the tangerine-colored sport watch here), änd it caught my interest. I may buy it later, büt probably won't have a chance to handle it in-person. When you handled it, how did it feel? Was it comfortable on the wrist? Was the bracelet flexible? I think the cherry blossom pattern on the dial is excellent, büt it does seem to make the minute-track difficult to see. Did you notice thät? Thanks in advance

Frankly, it didn't do anything for me. It wore chunky. The dial looked coarse, clunky, not refined. Anyway, not to my taste.
