Citizen is Opening a "Flagship" Boutique on 5th Avenue

Citizen is apparently opening a new boutique on 5th Avenue. They're joining the big boys; that stretch of Madison and 5th are chockablock full of ADs and boutiques, and luxury brands of all sorts. They had just closed their store in Times Square in the last year; so seems they weren't leaving, they were going upscale. They also say it will include Citizen brands like Bulova, Alpina, and Frederique Constant. Is this a sign that we'll see more interesting stuff from Citizen stateside? They appear to be trying to go upscale, as every brand is, these days. Heretofore their high end stuff was JDM. I suppose this means I'll have someplace to go if my Citizen Chronomaster ever needs a service.

Whoa. If I lived in new jork I'd be all over that.

Next to Puma and Saks, my old office was a few blocks south.

Stoked. Would be fun to try on some things. Maybe some boutique editions would be cool. It's a shame the Times Square Citizen closed. First time I'd have seen a Bulova boutique though, that'll be cool. I bet the local dealers will be pissed, though. But then again, they'll give discounts that the boutique never will offer.
