I bagged a bargain watch on Ebay but it stinks of stale fags...
I've only seen one Casio TRT-110H on Ebay in the UK in months so had to have it. When it turned up it stank of stale cigarette smoke and also made my lounge stink. The seller didn't know how that came to be as nobody in their house smokes! Yeah, right. Or maybe they got it and sold it on without looking at it...
Anyways, I didn't really want to send it back, but couldn't wear it as it was. I couldn't soak it a cleaning solution or scrub it as although the TRT-110H laughs in the face of such things I didn't want to risk the text coming off the face. My Mrs had such a great idea that I thought I'd share it incase a similar fate awaits any of you.
Get an airtight sandwich box and scrunch up a few sheets of kitchen roll. Soak the roll in fabric softener and shove it in one end of the box, then put the watch in the other end of the box and stick the lid on. Leave it overnight and in the morning the smell of fags will be gone without anything having risked damaging the face. The smell of Summer Fresh is much better, and having worn it for a few days it just smells "Nice".

Often times the smell of certain plastics will put off a stale cigarette smell. It’s common with Chinese fake leather shoes.
