Unimatic U1S-M. I’ll be honest that there are a lot of Unimatics I love but none of them made me buy the second I saw them like this did. I find the proportions incredibly pleasing and the lack of indices makes that the centerpiece of the design, to me.
Often when I post this, some wag asks why I don’t want to tell the time, but honestly, I have no trouble. Do I know exactly what the minute is? No. Do I need a watch to tell me it’s exactly 10:22? Rarely, usually I need to know it’s after 10:15 and before 10:30, and I can tell within a couple minutes. Legacy of learning to read a clock by drawing clock faces as a child, perhaps.
