Today it's time to bring out a very special watch - the Zodiac Astrographic Limited Edition in Gold PVD. Why is this watch special? Because the original version of this watch - which belonged to my father and which he bought back in the early 70's - is the reason I love watches to this day. I remember being mesmerized by the 36,00bph floating seconds hand seemingly gliding around the dial. The hands - applied on clear acrylic discs - seem to be levitating over the dial. I loved that watch, and it stirred in me a love of these tiny devices that can do so much. Whether it's simply the time, or the date, or measuring time and time zones, and all of the other neat things these little mechanical tools can do, I continue to be fascinated by them.
