There’s a good number in the atl area. Womble watch up in Marietta seem to have a good reputation. There’s also an independent guy up in Roswell called atltime watch repair.

I’ve heard of Womble, and he’s actually pretty close by… by all accounts he seems to a skilled a watchmaker (I believe he does contract work for several jewelers/watch dealers), but I’ve also heard his communication/transparency with regards to pricing and actually breakdown of service work is lacking…I went there to resize a bracelet and was charged over $20 for less than 5min of work…never again

Interesting. I know in buckhead there’s Swiss watch expo and a few others. Look into atltime. I reached out last year on a service for my Rolex with a 3000 movement and it was gonna be like $500.
@deathonthestairs $500???? 🤯🤯🤯 I paid around $800 to Central Watch on servicing my previous 14270…BEFORE the pandemic! I can’t imagine what they charge now post hyper-inflation.

Now I don’t know how it would have been bc I sold the watch BUT he seems to have good reviews on his repairs.

Hey! I wanted let you know I tried this guy out on my Tag Heuer Carrera re-edition. Chronograph movement so I expected it some sticker shock to say the least… If you’re interested I’ll tell you in private what he charged but it wasn’t as high as I expected when I count for inflation from the last time I had it serviced. Price aside, the end result was a 9.5 out of 10. Winding is incredibly crisp, keeping time pretty darn good, polished that ugly scratch out of the pexi-crystal. Also turn-around was incredibly quick (little over a month). Other than gaskets and seals, he only replaces parts as needed which could be why his prices are lower than most. Overall I’m pretty pleased

Wow exactly one year ago. That’s wild.
