GROVANA Traditional GV1561.1134

The GROVANA Traditional GV1561.1134 is also one of the watches that I bought out of embarrassment, as mentioned in another post, because I had forgotten my actual watch at home and was on duty for a long time without being able to go home for a short time . Since I was wearing a suit instead of a uniform during the operation, a different watch was necessary. Next to the place of action was a jeweler where I found this small, inconspicuous watch. Grovana Uhrenfabrik AG in Tenniken is one of the last three existing watch manufacturers to develop and produce their own wristwatches in the Swiss canton of Basel-Landschaft. In 1924, the brothers Walter and Hans Gröflin from Tenniken founded the Fabrique d'Horlogèrie W. & H. Groeflin, Tenniken/Bâle. In 1970, businessman Werner Bitterli acquired the clock factory, which was now known as Hans Gröflin AG. He changed the company name to Grovana Uhrenfabrik AG. By constructing the mechanical movements in-house, Grovana Uhrenfabrik AG has achieved the status of a manufactory. In 2008 Christopher Bitterli took over the management of the company. Like all Grovana watches, it comes in a wooden watch box and is assembled by hand at the headquarters in Tenniken. Men's watch Grovana Traditional GV1561.1134 is one of the best timepieces in the Grovana offer. With a diameter of just 38mm, a thickness of 8mm and a weight of 106g, it is very comfortable to wear. The black dial makes the watch easy to read. It is powered by a quartz movement, the RONDA slimtech with caliber 1019. The watch was sold in a beautiful wooden watch box and made a noble impression from the first moment. I have owned this watch for over 17 years now and even today I like to wear it from time to time.
