Strang but, I like it for what it is not.
This watch is becoming a favorite on the wrist. This Tudor Prince Date (74000N) is super versatile. It just fits everywhere from walking the dog in the woods to swimming championship. But, what I like the most are what this watch is Not
Not a Rolex (a little more care free with wearing it)
Not a modern size (34mm sounds small but it just fits me perfect)
Not datejust like dial (Those numerals are cool and look different to me)
Not a Rolex mov’t but an ETA (Cheaper to service)
Not too old and not too old (from the ‘97)
What do you think?
Are these the right reason to love this watch?

That thing is clean, I think it's kind of a shame that Tudor's catalog has been pigeon-holed into so small of a variety these days
It's a fantastic looking watch.
But to go along with your "What It's Not" theme, that is I think why it's not more popular.
It's not quite a field watch
It's not quite a dress watch.
It's not a popular size.
It's not really got a Rolex equivalent.
It's still a great watch, just not what a large number of people are looking for in a watch.
