Wearing my neo-vintage Tissot PR100 (technically PR150 but whatever) today for the first time in about 8 months. It's the closest thing to a birth watch I have so far; these were made throughout the 90s and early 2000s, and the warranty booklet that came with this lists a location at the World Trade Center Mall as authorized Tissot AD, so it's at least 20 years old.

I got this from an eBay auction last May for under $150, and I had it serviced by some local watchmaker. The lume is still fantastic, the movement is accurate (and currently the only one in my collection that beats at 28,800bph) and it wears fantastically. I even repainted the bezel with black Tamiya paint.

The reason I haven't been wearing it is because the watchmaker threw away the original gasket for no good reason; it was still pretty pliable and squishy when I got it. I subsequently replaced it with a gasket that fits but it's a bit too thick, so I think it very slightly protrudes from the caseback. While I haven't had any issues with WR (I actually swam with it in my girlfriend's pool) I was nervous to continue wearing it. But today I figured "fuck it, if water kills this thing, at least it went out doing the job it was designed to do, instead of petering away in some closet".

Currently I have it on a Timex Weekender single pass NATO, which I think suits the tooly nature of this watch. It reminds me a bit of a Milsub with its general, Submariner-esque layout and sword hands.
