That is a good looking WW II era inspired watch. If the build is as good as the 1918 trench then I am sure it is fantastic over all.
It's very solid! I haven't held the 1918 trench, so I can't give a direct comparison. But given Vario seem to be well regarded I'd be confident it's as good a build if not better (given this is a later watch). The only thing I wasn't keen on was the default nylon band, but that is easily fixed.

I went with the 1918 Yremch when I have my wife a list of watches I would like as a gift because I love the dial. Out of the list she picked the Vario and I love it. Your model has been growing on me.
