I'm starting the year by wearing my favorite acquisition of 2023: The Ginault Silent Service.

I have been looking at both models. What do you like the most about this variant? It's also made to offer right? Looks fantastic Suaz! Have a Healthy & Happy New Year 🍾 🥂 🎊.

What attracted me most about this model is the fact that it's their first original design. I didn't want a direct homage of a Rolex watch. I love divers and Rolexes are nice but other than the Milgauss they don't really do it for me.

This design is inspired by a cut out of a submarine. The pic below is actually shared with you by John with a bit of background on the design upon placing the order. He goes into detail about the watch and its origin and once you see it you can appreciate it's not just a mish-mash of different design elements from other designs as some reviews have pointed out. It's its own thing.

The no date version is more symmetrical and cleaner to me even though the sacrifice is accepting a ghost date position. If that bothers you, get the date version. It's not a big deal to me.

The diver bezel feels like the right complement to this design. I thought about getting the traveler bezel for a bit but it always looked out of place to me.

The service and attention to detail on the unit is unmatched at its price point. You honestly feel like you're buying a watch 4-5x the price.

I would wholeheartedly buy another watch from this brand without hesitation. It feels every bit as good as it looks.

I read they were affected recently by Selllita's supply issues and their lead times have increased because of it but I honestly believe they're worth the extra wait. They go through the trouble of testing and regulating each movement to COSC specs in-house in multiple positions for a 6 week period and include a report with your watch on your particular unit's performance.

*Edit: Yes! Each unit is made to order. They don't keep these on the shelf at all so there is a bit of a wait. I think that just adds to the experience.

I really appreciate the your feedback. The watch looks fantastic and I didn't realize where they got the inspiration. Clearly the image you shared connected the dots with me...

I have yet to read about anyone having a bad experience with the build quality, etc. Thanks again Suaz!

The only complaint I've heard is the extra wait. But this is because of their lengthy regulating practices. They don't just drop the movement in like most other brands do.

That's good to know. 👍🏽
